Select Entry Accelerated Learning (SEAL) Program
Rosebud Secondary College is proud to offer the only accredited SEAL program on the southern Mornington Peninsula. The College belongs to The Academy of Accredited SEAL Schools (TAASS). The Academy maintains the integrity of the SEAL program through four yearly reviews and coordination of the overall course across the 36 member schools in Victoria.
When considering an applicant for the SEAL Program, we take into account both academic progress and individual merit including leadership. SEAL students are challenged at a high level and enter senior studies at Year 10, usually completing Units 1 and 2 of two or more VCE subjects prior to commencing Year 11. SEAL students are regularly the top academic performers in the school and participate in many different activities.
Students apply for the SEAL program during Term Two of each year and undertake a UNSW test to assess general aptitude in a number of areas. There is an interview process to finalise selection of the group. Each year the LOTE stream for this group is rotated between our two languages, Indonesian and Japanese.
