The family-friendly community festival is the signature fundraising event for the Wellness Pavilion – a new facility to enhance mental health and wellbeing for youth on the Peninsula. The Wellness Pavilion will offer meditation sessions, counselling support and innovative programs for students at Rosebud Secondary College and youth and families within the wider community.
With all profits raised going to the Wellness Pavilion, The Mindfulness Festival is a feel-good opportunity in our busy lives to encourage happiness and wellbeing. With tickets only $25 per adult, $20 per child or $80 per family, Peninsula families are urged to pack a picnic and enjoy a post-exams or early Christmas happy gathering with family and friends.
There’s live music from The Warrains, SugaTree, Drew Bowden, Lady and the Tramps, The Daddios and other great acts. Guest speakers will join specialist yoga, meditation and nutrition practitioners as they demonstrate child and teen friendly techniques to empower kids to better address life’s challenges and feel calm and energised. There’s yummy food to complement BYO picnic hampers, and acres of outdoor fun for kids to explore at Boneo Maze and Mini Golf, as well as its popular Adventure Zone.
Mindfulness and mental health guest speakers Dr Craig Hassed and Dr Geoff Toogood and Ian Ward of Inward Healing will add their voices to the Festival encouraging youth to consider alternative techniques to address life’s challenges and to find ways to develop their personal resilience and passions.
