On Thursday 10th of September Ashley Hardy and Caitlyn-Guymer Banks, with staff member Michelle Downward, travelled to the Frankston Trade Training Centre to represent the College in the Peninsula VCAL Association’s Masterchef competition. There were competitors from Brotherhood of Saint Laurence, LEC Young Parents Program, Patterson River SC, Padua College, John Paul College, Elisabeth Murdoch College and Rosebud. The students were given a list of ingredients that they would be working with two days from the competition and had to come up with a main meal and a dessert. Ashley and Caitlyn are both doing a VET course in Hospitality – Kitchen Operations whilst getting work experience at a local café and winery restaurant as part of the VCAL program. They used this experience well and were able to win the main meal section of the competition with a Chicken Hot Pot Pie and Salad. The College would like to congratulate them on this fine effort.
