On Tuesday 17th May, Rosebud Secondary College celebrated IDAHOT which stands for International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia. Here at RSC we have a strong dedication to ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all students, and empower everyone to celebrate who they are. This day has been coordinated by a student run action team for LGBTI+ rights and for the past few weeks they have been dedicating their lunch times to organising it.
In the morning they raised the rainbow flag and it looked beautiful in the sky. They also handed out rainbow ribbons and badges as well as baked rainbow cupcakes made by the students themselves.
Their efforts are to be commended, as well as special thanks given to Benjamin Ratcliff for assisting the students in putting this fabulous day together.
